I joined the Polymer team as a fractional design leader, helping to develop the branding and product alongside the Head of Product and Marketing.
On the marketing side, I came in to help the team expand their established brand to fit new use cases and collateral. The team had a strong foundational brand to work with, but lacked the necessary supporting system of collateral needed to meet the demand of their web, social media, and event marketing strategies.
Throughout my time working with Polymer, I created new website layouts based off of their initial design system and expanded their graphic library. I also helped define and document components that made rapid iteration possible as the startup’s strategy evolved. View the current iteration of the website at polymerhq.io.
Alongside the web presence, Polymer was hosting and attending events, creating blog posts, and sales collateral to manage their deal flow. I created video animations, white papers, sales decks, booth setups, and swag. I helped expand the content marketing strategy creating a suite of collateral to create webinar series in an easy, repeatable way. I created systems for blog post images, one pagers, icons, and illustrations
On the product side I led the UX strategy and helped to refine the core information architecture. I designed key features like the flexible policy builder as well as created numerous prototypes and demos. I streamlined and documented the design system in a useable set of components that helped the engineering and QA teams move more quickly by reusing components. I also created user-facing product documentation and helped translate customer feedback into new features and improvements.
I helped design new features such as a security policy builder, setting up scans of SaaS environments, and reporting on the findings. I streamlined and refined numerous product initiatives based on customer feedback that led to new POCs and conversions into full paying customers.
My product and marketing strategy helped land new customers such as RSA, Scale, Robinhood, as well as maintain existing customers like Edward Jones, ClickUp, and Signify Health.
